Why is the Turbomax Plus THE best boiler Vaillant made?

Hello, and welcome to our Turbomax Plus page.

Why is this such a good boiler? Well, the list is far too long to publish here.
This boiler went into general production in 2000. It had major problems with the Diverter Valve, and the Air Proving System. BUT.....
These initial faults were quickly ironed out, leaving a magnificent domestic heating appliance. AND.... It's non-condensing.
This was the last boiler manufactured with solid metal components, and chassis. It's built like a tank. And, it's tough.
If you keep this boiler well maintained, and as long as parts are available, it will save you a small fortune as opposed to modern condensing boilers. Why? Cos it won't go wrong! And it will most likely last a short lifetime.
Look after it, and it'll look after you...

F.28? This can be caused by a lack of water in the boiler and system. (right). Make sure the water level is in the green area.
Common Faults: None!

  • Diverter failure. No hot water, or luke warm, intermittent.
  • Heating coming on when hot water running.
  • Heating stuck on all night with warmstart function.
  • Intermittent operation, air proving switch.
  • Loud thump when switching over? Probably modified PCB required.
  • F.22 ? Then get some water in the boiler!
Vaillant Pressure Gauge
The internal filling loop mechanism is a bit of a nightmare, and very difficult to find. You may need a decent sized flat screwdriver or a bleed key to operate the valves (1/4 turn only).

The replacement diverter (25-2457) has now been modified, so failure is rare. (right).

Warranty & Maintenance
All equipment offered carries a standard manufacturers warranty, effective for a minimum of 12 months from the date of purchase/installation, and is conditional on the appliance being serviced at 12 month intervals by a competent registered gas operative, and has been installed in accordance with manufacturers instructions, and a service record is kept with a Benchmark certificate of compliance.
The warranty includes full parts cover, plus a labour allowance for replacement components (details available from this office on request).

Terms & Conditions
Charges apply to pre-booked appointments, between Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, with adequate access and parking, and postcode location. Charges may vary dependent on location. Parking fees will additional to your final invoice. Please call to confirm your appointment and charges if you are in doubt. We do not provide 24hr emergency services.
Calls booked 'out of normal working hours' (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) will incur a surcharge. 
Our standard terms and conditions of trading (available on request) apply in all instances. All quotations are inclusive of vat, which are charged at the prevailing rate. Payment terms are payment on completion, or within 14 days of completion, and submission of invoice (by prior arrangement).

*Where an appliance cannot be repaired or serviced, due to poor installation, or has not been installed in accordance with the manufacturers instructions, or current Gas Safety Regulations, the minimum charge will apply at the current rate detailed on our 'charges' page.
Any quotation is valid for 7 days from the date of quotation. Title of goods does not pass from ourselves until the final invoice is paid in full. In some instances, a deposit may be required.
