Hello and welcome to the F.75 page.
I decided to build a dedicated page to this troublesome fault, as it deserves it. This particular fault has plagued the Ecotec range of boilers since 2005, and is still causing as many problems on the most up to date model in 2016,
Generally, after a couple of years testing and investigation, we can now rectify this troublesome fault code with ease. However, to prevent repeat occurrences, full scope servicing procedures are required every 18 months or so. Your British Gas or Homeserve type service will not address this issue as well as many others, even with annual visits. 'PROPER' servicing is essential.
There are so many factors that can throw your EcoTec into a spin, and flash up the F.75 code. Therefore, there is no 'one off fix'.
Although sensor, and pump issues are prominent in the list.
Guesswork is expensive, VERY expensive! Usually, the fault can be fixed with just one replacement part (sensor) for around £26.00. However, just changing the sensor will only result in a temporary reprieve, and the F.75 will most likely return shortly afterwards.
